Comments
: the majority of the old pinot noir vines were planted in 1945 and now give exceptional results. from february to october, the vintner visits the vineyard daily to ensure the very best husbandry for the vines: pruning, poughing, and all the regular labours need to produce the finest crop. the grapes are harvested by hand by a team of experienced harvesters. the resulting wine matures in wood for 15 to 18 months, before the several cuvees are married before bottling as “Domain of Château”. this wonderful wine, from the very intense work, has a superb quality which can rival the great wines of the cote de nuits
Colour: rich ‘cherry red’
Nose: very fruity, complex with finesse
Palate: lively with finely balanced acidity. the middle flavours are well-expressed cherry and red currant fruits. the smooth texture persists well
