In 1577 La Famille de la Boutière purchased “La Seigneurie de CHASSAGNE” from the heirs of François de FERRIERES

In 1706, Charles de la Boutière’s daughter married Jean-François Antoine de CLERMONT MONTOISON


After the revolution the Chateau and the Clos vineyard were sold to citizen LESPAGNOL to resell parcels. The North wing was extended for housing, the South wing destroyed and replaced with a building to house the Domaine’s ‘crushing and fermentation’ cellars.

During the second half of the 19th century, Mr and Mrs MASSON DUBOIS, wine merchants, gathered the property..

In 1919, Monsieur Charles MIMEUR aquired the Chateau’lands, part of the northern wing and the cellar of “Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet”, from the MASSON DUBOIS family
